Tennessee native Julianna Bass moved to New York to complete her design education at the Fashion Institute of Technology, after obtaining her degree in apparel design with a minor in costuming. After earning her chops working in the rigorous design environments at Elie Tahari, Bill Blass, Eugenia Kim, and Marc Jacobs, Julianna began designing under her eponymous label in 2008.

Julianna’s designs have garnered accolades from both US and International publications including German Vogue, Women's Wear Daily, New York Magazine, Daily Candy, and Lucky Magazine. In 2013 she won the Diet Coke/Taylor Swift Young Designer’s challenge. Her collections have been presented at New York Fashion Week, worn on the red carpet and featured in multiple major television productions.

A longtime resident of Brooklyn, Julianna moved to Berlin in 2014 to further her creative endeavors and broaden her design perspective, where she developed her Fall/Winter 15 collection, which was presented at New York Fashion Week in February. Her Spring/Summer 16 collection is also being developed in Berlin and will again be presented in New York in the fall.
