ILDIKÓ BUCKLEY

Ildikó Buckley is a visual artist with extensive exhibition experience specialising in video, photography and public sculpture. With numerous commissions and exhibitions, her work has received significant British press coverage and was included in a recent TEDx talk at the Courtauld Institute, London. She is currently living in Berlin.

Ildiko's work is centred on the exploration of who we are, how we live and how we relate to others. What universals connect us and what constitutes and forms our individual and group identities? She investigates this utilising diverse media: video projection, photography, sound, text, sculpture and performance. Ildiko aims to find moments where one captures the discrepancy between the real and the performed self. Audience engagement, participation and negotiation are at the heart of her practice.
