Marco Meiran is a German artist living and working in Berlin. His artistic approach is one of patience, building up his final piece using a number and variety of sources, beginning with magazine images that he draws directly onto in an abstract, painterly way. Playing with mass-media collages and building up with materials and images leads to a deconstruction of representation, from the mass produced magazine page to a large scale abstracted aesthetic reduced to the simplified form of geometric shapes. Meiran pays homage to Constructivism through the explosion of colour with a nod to todays consumerist society, with hints of the female form and occasional words forming themselves within his composition.

Haute Presents provides artists for Julianna Bass every season for New York Fashion Week. The chosen artworks go on to be the main focal point of her collection. Dividing her time between New York and Berlin, Berlin is a constant source of inspiration for the designer.
